(Susie-- I'm so sorry I forgot the host in the sidebar! I actually think your first idea below is exactly on the right track and could lead to a valuable activity in which students reflect on their context as you discuss, which would be valuable to us as instructors/educators/institution reps and perhaps this could be a two-partner: one activity early in the course, and another at the end, to give us some "compare and contrast" thoughts after students have gone through all the materials? --Chris Lott)

I'm developing an activity that combines critical thinking and presentation for my computer literacy students. I want my students to have time to explore what "living online" means to them, reflect on how they want to present themselves to an online community, develop their presentation, interact with online community, collect input from other users, reflect on connects/disconnects between their own perceptions and others.

Susie - I'd also like to take a look at getting students exploring/understanding implications of their identities online. I think its a thread that can be revisited throughout the duration of the course.
