Brainstorming critical pieces for the IF course
Areas of Focus for the Course
- The Personal Learning Environment
- Search
- (re)Source Verification
- Sharing and the Network Effect
- How presentation medium influences the conversation
Not sure where this would fit in, but should probably include copyright law, issues, and licensing options.
Project and Presentation
Students follow the process of building a PLE by creating their own, interact with information and their network, and make a presentation (reflecting on their experiences with the network effect) at the end of the class that leaves a publicly available artifact
The Info Fluency Triad
An attempt to identify some of the skills and processes in each area of the IF triad that could conceivably be covered in an IF course.
Underlying all of these is, of course, the basic creation of a personal learning environment (PLE).
