PSY 101 200803 7thB Fall 08 (CRN 75553, 75969) Introduction to Psychology Multiple problems with this course:
- Shari created a new course shell with limited content from the previous version, and then loaded a new course cartridge. As I began working on the course, I clicked to remove an unused menu item, and it deleted a different menu item (the one that contained all the cartridge material). This MIGHT have been user error, but I was being extremely careful and was shocked when the wrong content area disappeared.
- Same course, new shell, started again. I repeatedly experienced this anomaly: While creating a quiz, when I got to the point of setting test options, Blackboard bumped me into a different course (an old version of PSY 101). The navigation panel didn't change, and still displayed the course I was working on; the breadcrumb trail at the top and the content frame displayed an older version of the course.
- We received testbanks from the publisher in MS Word format. Sarah and I used the quiz generator from College of Southern Idaho to turn them into zipped question pools. I uploaded them into Blackboard. In each instance, Blackboard gave confirmation that the upload was successful. I then created exams that drew from a number of different question pools. Blackboard allowed me to create the exams, but when I later tried to view the exam, I received an error page. I tracked it down to the imported question pools: about 30% were corrupted and couldn't be used. I reported 2 and 3 to OIT on 10/27

MSL_F111X_CDE_200803 Fall 08 (CRN 76749, 76750) The Oceans One of our students came into CDE and took the first exam in the exam room. Student logged in--password was entered and exam seemingly completed. The exam was not recorded in Blackboard-nothing. I attempted to duplicate what might have happened with no results. Student will retest. I have not forwarded this to OIT.
